Description

  • Emerald, Ruby, Gold, Platinum
Set with a step-cut emerald weighing 7.08 carats, flanked by two pear-shaped rubies weighing 2.02 and 2.01 carats respectively, mounted in platinum and 18 karat yellow gold. Ring size: 5½

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin and AGL reports, the emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement; and according to the Gübelin, AGL and GRS reports, the rubies are natural, of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, and the colour variety may also be called "pigeon blood red" in the trade. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the emerald is medium intense green colour with slight bluish tint, bright and eye clean; and the rubies are medium vivid red colour, very good brilliance and eye clean. Under the 10x loupe inspection, the emerald has minor typical fingerprint inclusions with a few lightly surface reaching, with minor pits on facet junctions and girdle and a tiny chip at the pavilion but all are not noticeable to the naked eye; the rubies have minor typical fingerprint and crystal inclusions with a few lightly surface reaching, with minor chips at girdle and pavilion but all are not noticeable to the naked eye. Condition: Platinum and karat yellow gold ring mount, with a few tiny scratches on the shank otherwise in very good overall condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
