Description
- Sapphire, Diamond, Gold
Each suspending an oval sapphire weighing approximately 10.89 and 9.10 carats respectively, to a scalloped surround set with circular-cut diamonds, suspended from an oval diamond surmount and circular-cut diamond hook, the diamonds al together weighing approximately 5.30 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin and SSEF reports, both the sapphires are natural, of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating; and Gübelin further states that colour of the 9.10 carat sapphire may also be called "royal blue" in the trade. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the sapphires are of medium intense to saturated violetish blue colour, very good brilliance and lively, eye clean. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are minor typical silk and fingerprint inclusions, with occasional minor pits and chips at the girdle and a few facet junctions. Two oval-shaped diamonds together weighing approximately 1.40 carats, are about H to I and J to K colour; and the circular-cut diamonds are about I to J colour; all with VS to SI clarity.
Condition: Karat white gold mount, shows signs of very minor wear, otherwise in very good overall condition.
