Description
- Cat's eye chrysoberyl, Diamond, Gold
Set with a cat's-eye chrysoberyl weighing 54.27 carats, to the circular-cut diamond surround and shoulders together weighing approximately 5.00 carats, embellished with circular-cut yellow diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold. Ring size: 6
Condition
Please note that this lot is also accompanied by a SSEF report.
Colour and Clarity: According to the GRS and SSEF report, the cat's eye chrysoberyl is natural, with no indications of treatment; GRS also states that the colour is "golden" greenish yellow (GRS-type "honey"-colour); and SSEF further states that the chrysoberyl is with a distinct cat's-eye effect (chatoyancy). Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the cat's eye chrysoberyl is of medium greenish yellow colour, with distinct chatoyancy and day/night effect, eye-clean. Under 10x loupe inspection, there is a minor internal fissure and one chip at the base but not noticeable when face-up. The yellow diamonds are light to intense yellow colour, VS to SI clarity. The diamonds are about G to I colour, VVS to VS clarity for the oval-shaped diamonds and VS to SI clarity for the circular-cut diamonds.
Condition: Karat white and yellow gold ring mount, shows signs of very minor wear, otherwise in very good overall condition.
