Description
- Natural Pearl, Diamond, Platinum, Gold
Each suspending a drop-shaped white or grey natural pearl measuring approximately 14.65 - 15.65 x 16.50mm and 13.05 - 15.50 x 17.80mm, to the fan-shaped surmount set with circular-cut and baguette diamonds together weighing approximately 5.00 carats, mounted in platinum and 18 karat white gold, signed and numbered 01486, Circa 1949.
Condition
Please note that as stated in the Cartier's certificate of authenticity, the pearl pendants are later additions, not recorded in Cartier's archives.
Colour and Clarity: According to the SSEF report, both the pearls are saltwater natural pearls, and the grey pearl with no indications of artificial colour modifications. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the pearls are of slightly baroque drop-shaped, one has white body colour and the other has light grey to brownish grey body colour, well-matched in shape, and both with very good lustre and orient. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are minor surface blemishes but not noticeable when worn. The diamonds are about G to H colour, VS to SI clarity. Signed and numbered, and with French assay marks for platinum and gold.
Condition: Platinum mount with karat white gold clip backing, shows signs of normal wear commensurate with the age, otherwise in very good overall condition.
