Description
- Alexandrite, Diamond, Platinum
Each centring on a cushion-shaped alexandrite weighing 7.77 and 7.58 carats, to the surround set with oval diamonds together weighing approximately 2.50 carats, mounted in platinum.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the AGL report, the alexandrite is natural, of Sri Lankan origin, with no clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the alexandrites are of medium-deep tone, eye clean, well matched, and with prominent colour-changing effect from brownish green colour in the daylight to brownish red-purple colour in the incandescent light. Both are loupe clean, one alexandrite with a tiny pit at the girdle and a few colour bands but only visible from the pavilion upon 10x loupe inspection. The diamonds are about I to J colour, mainly VS clarity (with a few SI clarity). With retractable post for earrings.
Condition: Platinum mount, overall in very good condition.
