Description
- Sapphire, Diamond, Platinum
Centring on an oval sapphire weighing 7.60 carats, to the circular-cut diamond surround and bifurcated shoulders, the diamond together weighing approximately 2.00 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6¼
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin and GIA reports, the sapphire is natural, of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, and GIA further states that the colour appearance of this sapphire is described in the trade as "Royal Blue". Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the sapphire is of medium-strong intense violetish blue colour, eye clean. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are moderate typical fingerprint inclusions with one surface reaching to the opening at the girdle, and very minor pits on the facet junctions at the pavilion but not visible to the naked eye.The diamonds are mainly about F to H colour (with a few J to K and M to N colour), SI to I clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, with a few fine scratches and a tiny indentation on the shank, otherwise in very good overall condition.
