Centring on a colour-changing star sapphire weighing 17.12 carats, within an oval diamond surround embellished with circular-cut diamond spacers, to the circular-cut diamond border and shoulders, the diamonds together weighing approximately 4.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold. Ring size:7
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin report, the colour-changing star sapphire is natural, of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heating, and displays a distinct asterism (star effect). Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the sapphire of medium tone, colour change from violet in daylight to purple in incandescent light. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are minor typical crystal, fingerprint and silk inclusions, a few tiny pits and chips at the dome but not noticeable to the naked eye, and a minor opening at the base. The diamonds are about F to G colour, the oval-shaped diamonds are SI clarity, and the circular-cut melee diamonds are VVS to VS clarity.
Condition: Karat white gold mount, with minor hairline scratches on the shank. otherwise in very good overall condition.
