Description
- Tiffany & Co.
- Ruby, Diamond, Platinum
Each centring on an oval ruby weighing 3.18 and 2.66 carats respectively, to a two-tiered circular-cut diamond surround together weighing approximately 2.90 carats, mounted in platinum, signed.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Gübelin and GRS reports, both the rubies are natural, of Burmese (Mogok, Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heating, and GRS report also states that the colour is vivid red (GRS type "pigeon's blood"). Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the rubies are of medium tone and saturated pinkish red colour, very well-matched. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are moderate typical natural inclusions with a few surface reaching, and with minor pits on facet and facet junctions but not visible to the naked eye. The diamonds are mainly about G to H colour (with a few I colour), VVS to VS clarity. Signed.
Condition: Platinum mount, overall in mint condition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation.
