Description
- Natural Pearl, Diamond, Gold, Silver
Centring on an old-mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 2.00 carats, to the rose-cut diamond foliage, enhanced by one natural pearl and one cultured pearl measuring approximately 13.00 x 8.50 x 7.25mm and 10.65 x 7.80 x 4.75mm respectively, mounted in silver and yellow gold, 19th century composite, six rose-cut diamonds deficient.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the GIA report, one pearl tested is natural pearl. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the natural and cultured pearls are of oval button-shaped, cream body colour and very good lustre. Under the 10x loupe inspection, there are moderate surface blemishes but less noticeable when worn. The centre old-mime-cut diamond is about J to K colour, VS clarity, with abrasions on the girdle and some facet junctions; and the rose-cut diamonds are about L to N colour with some possibly P to Q colour (graded as per mounting permit), SI to I clarity. Six rose-cut diamonds deficient. Please note that the GIA report is more than ten years old and might require an update.
Condition: Vintage silver and karat yellow gold mount with normal wear commensurate with the age. The silver are blackened and the gold shows signs of discolouration. In our opinion, the brooch might have been modified on several occasions. Overall condition is fair.
