Description

  • emerald, diamond, platinum
Each suspending a pear-shaped emerald weighing 8.20 and 8.07 carats respectively, to a cluster surmount set with pear- and marquise-shaped diamonds altogether weighing 14.63 carats, mounted in platinum and 18 karat white gold, pendants detachable, cluster tops signed Cartier and numbered 99NNIZ.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to both Gübelin and AGL reports, the two emeralds are natural, of Colombian origin. Gübelin comments both emeralds with indications of minor clarity enhancement; AGL states the emeralds with minor to moderate clarity enhancement. The ten diamonds in the surmounts, according to GIA reports, are D to F colour, Internally Flawless to VS2 clarity. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the emeralds are well-matched, of medium intense green colour, very clean to naked eye and nice crystals. Upon 10x loupe inspection, there are minor typical natural inclusions and some minor chips and pits which are not noticeable to the naked eye. One emerald with a minor surface reaching inclusion close to the side but not visible unless under loupe inspection. Two smaller marquise-shaped diamonds together weighing approximately 0.20 carat, are about F to G colour, VS clarity. Both diamond earclip tops signed Cartier and numbered. Condition: Platinum and karat white gold mounts, in very good overall condition.
