Set with a sugarloaf sapphire, within a mount pavé-set with circular-cut rubies and diamonds, size 53, signed MdV, numbered, Italian assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Signed MdV for Michele della Valle, numbered 150755. Italian maker's mark *1425. Italian assay mark for 18 carat gold. Sapphire measuring approximately 16.64 x 14.29 x 10.97mm, blue of medium saturation, with good transparency, typical inclusions, few surface reaching. Rubies well matched in colour. Diamonds bright and lively. Few signs of wear to the metal. In like-new condition. Gross weight approximately 16 grams. Pouch stamped Michele della Valle.
