The brooch of floral design, set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 107.79 carats, within a frame of cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, unsigned, maker's mark for Jacques Timey, pendant hoop, additional gold chain unillustrated; together with a ring mount set with two triangular diamonds, size 52, sizing band, unsigned, maker's mark for Jacques Timey.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 80458, stating that the cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 107.79 carats and measuring 27.97 x 22.59 x 16.62 mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
Maker's mark for Jacques Timey on the brooch and the ring mounts. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, with typical surface reaching finger print inclusions, a few abrasions and nicks; for further details on the stone, please refer to the gemmological report. Diamonds on the brooch estimated to weigh a total of approximately 36.00 - 40.00 carats, on average H-L colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Side diamonds on the ring mount estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with light use. Screwdriver to fix the sapphire on the brooch or the ring mounts. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 102 grams.
