Set with circular-cut and baguette diamonds, length approximately 180mm, signed Sheffield & Co.

Condition

Signed Sheffield & Co, Cairo. Stamped Pt 950 for platinum. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 23.00 - 25.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 38 grams.

Catalogue Note

Established at 10 Rue Chérif Pacha in Alexandria, Egypt between 1935 and 1962, Sheffield and Co was the furnisher to H.R.H. King Farouk of Egypt from his coronation in 1937 until the end of his reign in 1952. The firm also had a branch in Cairo, Egypt, and in Geneva, Switzerland, which was founded by Mr Alfred Youssoufian in 1962.
