Condition
Not viewed out of the frame. The sheet appears to be affixed to the backing card in several places. The sheet undulates slightly in places, and there are soft creases visible in the upper left corner, both the lower corners and along the lower horizontal edge, but otherwise the sheet appears sound. There are some fine lines of craquelure apparent in the thicker areas of gouache, with some small associated losses in places, most apparent to the red pigment just above the centre of the lower horizontal edge. There may be one or two instances of surface dirt and studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition, with strong and vivid colours throughout.
The work is float mounted and housed in a painted wooden frame, held under perspex.
