Condition
The sculpture appears sound. There is some rubbing to some of the protruding edges, and to the base points of the sculpture there is rubbing and the patina has been worn away to reveal the bronze beneath. There is a very small, old hairline crack visible to the beast's tail, which is possibly original and most likely a casting flaw. There are one or two traces of casting residue, and there is some minor oxidisation in places. There is some light surface dirt in some of the pitted areas. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
The sculpture is freestanding.
