Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. The canvas is slightly loose on the stretcher. There is a light push to the left edge at the lower left corner with an area of resultant loss to the oil. There are scattered areas of craquelure to the canvas, most apparent to the left side of the canvas in the lower left corner and along the left edge with further areas to the lower right corner and to the raised impasto in the upper left corner. There is some very light rubbing to some of the raised tips of the impasto. There is some very minor surface dirt to the canvas. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in a painted wooden frame.
