Condition

The sculpture appears sound. There are one or two extremely minor spots of rubbing to the extreme edges of the work in places. There are some casting imperfections apparent primarily inside the body of the bird, including a very minor, stable crack to the bird's proper left leg and a few very minor, stable, tiny cracks to the bird's proper right leg. There is some light surface dirt and matter in places, and some traces of casting residue in some of the crevices. There are some very small spots of oxidisation apparent towards to the top of the bird's legs. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition, and is a very crisp cast. The work is freestanding. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
