Condition
The panel is constructed from a single, uncradled panel, which is flat and stable. The paint surface is slightly dirty and the varnish is rather discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light is hindered by a thick, milky varnish, but discoloured retouchings are visible in the dark back and red cloak of the apostle in the left foreground, as well as in the table and lower foreground between him and the other apostle in the foreground, whose left leg also contains some retouchings. There are also scattered discoloured retouchings in the opening of the arch, and above the heads of the apostles on the left. All these retouchings largely follow the vertical grain of the wood. In overall fair condition.
