Condition
The canvas has been lined, the paint surface is stable with a small old damage at the bottom left corner, and two surface scratches to the left and right of the sitters head (all visible in the catalogue. Inspection under UV light reveals a thick and opaque varnish, and very little restoration - only a few very minor scattered retouchings to fill in craquelure, and some retouchings in the sitters right eye. In fair overall condition.
Offered in a brown wood frame in good condition.
