The canvas is unlined, the paint surface is secure and the varnish clear and even. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. The heads of the old pins used to attach the canvas to the stretcher are visible at the upper margin, but have been disguised by some discreet overpaint. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals strengthening throughout the background and at the edges, and a handful of minor localised retouching in the fruit. In overall fair condition.
