The canvas has a firm lining, the paint surface is clean and stable and the varnish is clear. There are no major damages visible to the naked eye. There is a degree of wear in the middle of the sky at the left margin. Inspection under UV light reveals a campaign of scattered retouchings throughout - beneath the varnish - they are fairly cosmetic, and the main concentration of strengthenings is around some of the fruit, in the dark ones of the ledge along the bottom margin, and in the dark tones of the background at the top right. In fair overall condition, offered in a modern gilt wood frame in good condition.
