Description
- Adam Pynacker
- Two shepherds by a stream with their cattle
- oil on canvas
Condition
The canvas has been lined, the paint surface is dirty and the varnish is discoloured. A degree of wear is visible throughout the painting, particularly in the darks, and the painting would benefit from cleaning and refreshing in these areas. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a milky varnish that fluoresces opaquely, but the painting appears to be largely untouched, save for the infilling of craquelure along the upper margin and retouching to some scattered small losses on the margin, lower right. In overall fair condition.
