Condition
The panel is uncradled, with a very slight bow to either side, with a clean, stable paint surface and discoloured varnish. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a milky, opaque varnish, beneath which it is possible to discern some old infilling to the network of craquelure, upper centre. There appear to be a handful of scattered, very small retouchings in the foreground, but the painting is in overall good condition.
