Condition

the prints are in good condition overall. Each sheet discolored by exposure to light and/or an acidic mat. Occasional fox marks and tack holes. Conditions of the individual prints are as follows: Connoisseur of Prints (M. 127): Light-stain darkest at mat opening, tack holes along sheet edges, the margins and verso with a few smudges and soiling, remains of prior hinging at upper sheet corner verso. Fifth Avenue Critics (M. 128): Pale light- and mat-stain, a fox mark in the lower margin and remains of prior hinging at sheet edges verso. Show Case (M. 129): The margins with light-stain and foxing. A small puncture in lower margin. An adhesive stain at upper left sheet verso showing through to the recto. Man Monkey (M. 130): Pale mat-stain and a fox mark in the margin at right. Fun, One Cent (M. 131): The margins with extensive discoloration, darkest at the bevel of the mat. Five fox marks in the upper margin. The verso with adhesive discoloration showing through to the recto at top. A small repair at upper sheet edge. Women's Page (M. 132): Margins with pale mat-stain and a surface smudge at right. Pale fox mark at upper sheet edge verso. Turning Out the Light (M. 134): The margins with discoloration, darkest at the mat opening Man, Wife and Child (M. 135): The margins with discoloration darkest at the mat opening, damp-stains at top and a small repair in the upper left corner Roofs, Summer Night (M. 137): With extensive discoloration caused by light and numerous mat-stains. Scattered foxing. Two adhesive stains verso, not showing through to the recto. Small loss in top right corner. The Little Bride (M. 138): Pale mat-stain in the margins. The upper sheet corners with adhesive discoloration on the verso and minor puckering. Girl and Beggar (M. 150): Mat-stain darkest at the bevel and 9 tack holes near the sheet edges. Night Windows (M. 152): With light-stain darkest at the mat opening and 18 tack holes at edges. Picture Buyer (M. 153): Paper tone darkened throughout with additional discoloration caused by exposure to light. A couple of hard creases in lower margin, breaking through in two places.
