Condition

the illustration is accurate, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents scratches and marks due to the age and use. The construction is firm and sound, three minor horizontal shrinkages cracks on the back, a few losses and replacements of the mahogany veneer of the back, a minor scratche at the rear of the back. A small restoration to the pierced back. The mahogany veneer of the end of the feet of both back legs has been replaced, which suggest a restoration or a small replacement to this legs. The legs of both lions have been slightly restored, a few traces of old an inactive woodworms are visible when you flip the armchair, the are located on part which is not mahogany veneered. the wooden chassis of the senatorial is probably later, the leather of the cushion of the seat rail is old and in poor condition (as visible on the illustration) very nice shape, a rare model. Catalogue Note
