The present book ha🐼s signatures and notes from performers including Marc Bolan, Rick Wakeman, John McLaughlin, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Dr. Feelgood.

Of particular note is the Bowie entry made during the sessions for his landmark Low album, in which he writes out the opening stanza of the track "Be My Wife:" "Sometimes you get so lonely / Sometimes you get nowhere / I've lived all over the world / I've left every place."

The chateau was certainly seen by the artists who stayed there while recording as an unusual setting, one t♛hat Bꦚowie producer recalls as being haunted:

"There was certainly some strange energy in that Château. On the first day David took one look at the master bedroom and ꦅsaid, 'I’m not sleeping ꧋in there!' He took the room next door..."

The setting was particularly good for the occult-minded Bowie, as Low is seen alongside Ziggy Stardust as his most important and influential work.
