Condition
113cm across the top, 115cm across the bottom, 344cm the left side, 343cm the right side.
Fairly flexible handle, dense even 2mm pile overall, down to 1mm and knotheads in some of the madder/cerise larger leaf motifs within the main field (some oxidisation to the cerise). Some minute scattered repairs. Both ends with minor losses and later overlocking and trimmed original fringes. With original banded coloured sidecords. Unusual amount of apple and teal green used in the design.
A glamorous and richly designed rug, incorporating many influences around the Caucasus and Northwestern Persia.
