of crested arch form, the polished surfaces within polychrome floral borders, the front champlevé enamelled with Cyrillic initials VT and TA, the reverse engraved in Russian 'In remembrance' and dated 19 October 1890, the inerior with portraits of Saints Vadim, Vladimir, and Apollinaria, all signed Petrov, one dated 1892, within blue line borders beneath polychrome strapwork, pendant loop, 72 standard
Condition
Excellent condition. Beautifully made and of good weight with only minor surface scratches consistent with age.

Catalogue Note
The goldsmith Chichelev was a Supplier to the Imperial Court who, following his success at the Nordic Exhibition of 1888, was awarded the Order of St Vladimir, 3rd Class, by Imperial decree on 24 February 1889. Carl Fabergé was awarded the Order of St Stanislas, 3rd Class, at the same time.
