THE FIRST: Oil on canvas, lined. Surface in generally good condition, colors are bright and fresh. Some surface dirt. Under UV light: Scattered areas of inpainting visible, some in upper left hand corner and some visible in the body of the dog. THE SECOND: Oil on panel. Surface in generally good condition. Some surface dirt visible. Under UV light: Scattered areas of inpainting visible, primarily along extreme upper edge of panel.
