each piece printed in underglaze-blue with a different hunting scene, comprising: a large oval tureen, cover and stand, an 18 5/8-inch oval platter, a 16 5/8-inch oval platter, a 14 1/2-inch oval platter, a 12 1/4-inch oval platter, two graduated small oval dishes, a square dish and cover, a deep oval dish, a sauce tureen, cover and stand, an oval mazarine, eight soup plates, eight dinner plates, eight dessert plates and eight side plates, printed SPODE, impressed SPODE and various impressed shape numerals, most with printed titles. 48 pieces.
Condition
Some overall very minor and occasional scratching, consistent with use. Otherwise, in good condition except:Tureen, cover and stand: A large section of the cover has been broken off at the rim and riveted back. There is an additional long crack issuing from a small rim chip and running upwards. 14 1/2-in. platter: has an approximate 1-in. haircrack running from the rim edge.12 1/4-in. platter: has two 1-in. haircracks running from the rim edge.Square vegetable dish and cover: the cover has been cleanly broken into several pieces; the pieces are all retained and can be restored cleanly.Deep oval dish has a short haircrak in the interior, not visible from the exterior.Mazarine: has a 1/5-inch flat chip to the rim edge.Soup plates: one plate has a 1/2-inch crack issuing from a small rim chip.
