Description
- Marco Zanuso
- A "Lady" Sofa
- chromium-plated metal and fabric upholstery
Condition
Overall in good condition. With some light surface soiling to the upholstered surfaces of the chair concentrated to the top surfaces of the arms and back, which is consistent with use. Minor wear to the fabric at the seat and seat back as seen in the catalogue illustration, which appears slightly lighter in color. It appears that the cushions have been slightly compressed from age and use, and therefore the fabric upholstery does not fit as tightly and with some slackness. There are two minor tears to the upholstery measuring 1 ½ inches in length to the middle of seat. The metal legs with some shallow surface scratches and isolated areas of discoloration. The legs show minor wear from use and aging of the materials. The rubber feet with wear throughout, and one is presently lacking. This one foot appears also to lack a small portion of the metal sabot. Because of the wear to rubber throughout each of the feet, the sofa presently sits evenly. An elegant design, with very sculptural qualities in the design of the arms and back.
