the first worked with a figure seated below a pine tree, inscribed with an excerpt from a poem by Wang Wei highlighting the moonlight and the river streams, the reverse with a mythical beast mask; the second with a solitary figure crossing a bridge, the upper right detailed with an inscription by Wen Zhengming, the reverse with irregular rockwork; the third depicting a seated scholar with an attendant crossing bridge, below an inscription of an excerpt from Du Fu’s poem, the reverse incised with banana leaves and bamboo shoots
Condition
There are typical tiny bruises and nicks to the edges. The reverse of each has been pierced for suspension. The plaques are otherwise in overall good condition.
