Condition
The original canvas has been relined on its wooden stretcher. Ultra-violet light reveals some scattered strokes of cosmetic retouching along the extreme right framing edge and a few other minor spots including: some strengthening in the arm, cheek and right eye of the putto to the right, and one fine stroke in the wing of the putto to the left. It should be noted these retouchings are very minor considering the size of the painting. This work is otherwise in very good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with minor losses.
Colours are less red than in the catalogue illustration.
