Condition

The canvas is unlined. There are some fine scattered lines of craquelure and two small spots of paint flaking in the sky in the upper left quadrant of the composition. Some of this craquelure appears to be raised and could benefit from consolidation. Ultra-violet light reveals areas of fluorescence which appear to be attributable to the artist's pigments. Some small, isolated spots of retouching are visible in the lower framing edge. This work is overall in good condition. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
