Condition

The colours are tonally good colour match with the printed catalogue. In reality the metal thread used for the motifs gives the panel more depth in reality visually and a little sparkle against the silk satin. Silk panel comprised of three joined vertical panels (24.5cm wide, 52cm wide, and 51.5cm. wide respectively). The left-vertical panel has a horizontal join across the centre as visible in the photograph. The cerise-ground has some surface watermarks visible as dark spots, for example, top-left corner of main field to edge of one of tri-foliate motifs and others within the main field which are not as obvious. There is a small round hole to far-right side towards top-right corner visible as small dark spot. Oxidisation to all silver-thread which predominates the motifs overall, despite this oxidisation, design is still very attractive. Very decorative panel.
