Description

comprising three ceramic dishes decorated in coppery lustre with blue highlights, each with varied decoration comprising a larger foliate element between finer stylised details, each with spiralling lines to reverse, old French collection label

Condition

The largest with break along one edge and associated repair with two metal brackets as visible on reverse, resulting hairline crack running down through centre of dish, with old drill hole to rim for hanging now blocked, some abrasion to external rim and around internal rim, set within metal bracket for suspension (we would advise removing this), adhesive remnants from past label. The middle-sized dish break along centre and associated restoration including overpainting (particularly visible as slightly different tinge to reverse), some abrasion along external rim and internal rim, minor pitting, drill hole on rim for hanging, set in metal bracket for hanging (we advise removing this), the smallest also with a break along one edge with associate d restoration and some overpainting, drill hole to rim for hanging, minor abrasion along external and internal rim, adhesive for old label to reverse, three spur marks, lustre on all three very bright, as viewed.
