Description
- steel and lapis lazuli
the double-edged, curved, watered-steel blade with central ridge, both sides with carved inscriptive cartouche near chape and gold-overlaid smaller cartouche along ridge, with carved I-shaped lapis-lazuli hilt
Condition
In good general condition, the blade with minor pitting and minor oxidisation, some abrasion near tip, original gold overlay on larger cartouche almost completely rubbed off, only traces remaining, the smaller cartouche with most of gold-overlay intact, only slightly missing at external edges, the lapis-lazuli hilt with very small chip near top edge, beautiful colour, as viewed.
