comprising three silver dishes with domed lids inscribed 'M' and carved flowerhead finials, each stamped with tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid II (r.1876-1909) and sah marks, the salt and pepper holder elaborately carved with foliate designs, gilt-interior and stamped tughras, all set in large custom silk-lined velvet box with crest of Sultan Abdülhamid II, in bespoke box
Condition
The silver pieces in good condition, very some tarnishing to surface resulting in discoloration, the box with silk ruffled on interior and stuck with an adhesive making it hard, some minor discoloration and wear to silk and to velvet exterior as consistent with age, with key for locking box, as viewed.
