Description

  • wood (not rosewood)
back plate containing a mirror within carved classical colonnades, leafy garlands and acanthus leaves, bracketed shelf, gilt throughout, reverse with old suspension bracket

Condition

In generally good condition with minor scuffs, particularly to extremities, remnants of red paint visible where the gilding has been rubbed or faded ,some craquelure to surface of paint, some dirt deposits resulting in discoloration to sections, reverse reveals that the mirror may have been a later addition (pinned in), old bracket hooked into top for hanging with oxidisation, remnants of glue, as viewed.
