Description

of deep rounded form with everted rim, decorated in underglaze dark blue, green and relief red with black outlines, central ewer surrounded by a scroll of palmettes, carnations and saz leaves, foliate vine border, reverse with abstract motifs, two drill holes to foot, old French collection label
Condition
In generally good condition, intact expect for one crack running down one side of rim with associated repair (and slightly yellow residue), minor retouching to underside as cracks visible through their slight discoloration, some minor pitting particularly to bole red, the rim with minor chips and abrasion, foot ring with abrasion, two drill holes for hanging and metal suspension (we would suggest removing this), a patch of surface abrasion with discoloration to one small section, as viewed.
