Arabic manuscript on paper, 305 leaves, plus 3 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by pointed gold roundels, margins ruled in black and gold, gold and polychrome illuminated devices in the margins, surah headings in white ink against gold ground cartouches, double page illuminated frontispiece composed of a thick border of interlacing flowers and split-palmettes emanating blue sprays, morocco tan binding with gold rococo decoration, with flap
Condition
In generally good condition, the margins are clean and the illuminated frontispiece is in very good condition, with only minor smudges as visible in the catalogue. The contemporaneous binding in good condition, as viewed.
