Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 139 leaves, plus 2 flyleaves, 11 lines to the page in black naskh script, titles in red, f.1a with an illuminated frontispiece in blue and gold, 10 polychrome illuminated headings, in brown stamped leather binding
Condition
In good condition, the margins are overall clean, minor stains and minor restorations affecting mainly the margins, ownership notes and reference numbers, as viewed.

Hafs ‘Umar ibn Muhammad, ibn Ahmad Luqman al-Nasafi was a prolific author and commentator on the Qur’an (see C. Brockelmann, GAL, I.758), who died in Samarqand in 1142 AD. Another copy of Mantumat fi'l-khilaf is now in the al-Azhar library, Cairo.
