- A gold, enamel and pearl needle case, probably Geneva, circa 1790-1800
- pearls, gold, enamel
- 10.cm., 4 1/4 in. high
faceted tapering form, painted with pastoral figures reserved within paillon ornament on dark blue enamel ground, the borders chased, enamelled and pearl-set with laurel garlands, maker's mark J incuse crowned, other mark illegible
Condition
some very tactful restoration overall. Two pearls missing.
