Condition

Nice quality. Tops with wear from use. Some losses and wear to gilding and abrasions. Construction cracks to some joints and some age cracks to carved elements. Rubbing to some carved details. Metal braces to interior of central stretcher.

Catalogue Note

These high quality torchères, produced at the end of the 19th century but in an earlier style, recall similar supplied by the great London copyists Lenygon & Company. The company produced high quality late 17th century style and early Georgian style furniture for wealthy clients during the period in which these were made.
