Condition
The canvases are unlined. The paint surfaces are slightly unclean. There are minor paint losses throughout, in particular around areas of craquelure. There are some old discoloured retouchings visible to the naked eye. Under ultra violet inspection an uneven layer of varnish is revealed. Furthermore, old restorations to the grass and drapery of the figure facing towards the viewer are visible. Similarly, old restorations are visible in the sky above the figure facing away from the viewer. The works are offered in carved and moulded gilt wood frames.
