Condition

There are some very fine glaze crackles running down the sides of the seal, two on one seal and one on the other. Some minor enamel wear on the eyes but otherwise good condition.

Catalogue Note

The seal face of the pair reads Wu Guangxin yin ('seal of Wu Guangxin') and Zitang. Wu Guangxin (1875-1939), zi Zitang, a native of Hefei, Anhui province, was a General of the Anhui military clique in the Beiyang Army, and also brother-in-law of an early Beiyang Army commander Duan Qirui (1865-1936).
