Catalogue Note
Impressive for its large and finely cast stand in the form of mountain peaks, large jade boulders left uncarved and with such elaborate stands are highly unusual. Two boulders of similar irregular shape were sold at Christie’s New York, the first, 15th September 2009, lot 122, and the second, 15th September 2011, lot 1304.
