the duck shown recumbent resting on a curled lotus leaf, grasping a lotus spray grasped in its beak, its wings folded on the sides, finely detailed with plumage, the stone of an even colour

Provenance

Collection of Mrs Joan Binns, Brussels, acquired in 1959.

Condition

This jade duck is in good condition, but does have minor nicks, tiny chips to the lower edges of the lotus leaf. The stone is of slightly more celadon colour than in the catalogue.
