the pear-shaped body rising from a short straight foot to a tall ribbed neck with everted rim, slip decorated and cream and aubergine-glazed around the exterior with blossoming prunus branches reserved on a turquoise ground, the neck glazed in aubergine and turquoise bands

Couturier, Hotel Drouot, Paris, 21st May 1980.
Condition
The bottom area of the vase (approx.. 6 cm from the foot) and the glaze of the base have been restored. There are some slight staining, burst bubbles, and crackling and minute flakes of the glaze.
