Provenance
This lot is described on reference 192 in the valuation of the estate of the Prince Marc de Beauvau Craon, 5th Prince de Beauvau (1816 - 1883) in 1883 (French National Archives AN.MC/ET/L/1385). It was located in the grand salon of his house on 34 avenue Montaigne in Paris.
Condition
A l’oeil nu :
To the naked eye:
The painting is in satisfactory condition. It has been relined in the late 19th century, a little bit too strong, and has slightly flattened the pictorial matter. It has been correctly cleaned. To the naked eye, no restoration is visible.
Under U.V. light:
The painting appears under a green uniform varnish. We cannot notice any restoration.
